Contraindications - PLEASE BE AWARE THE PROCEDURE CANNOT TAKE PLACE IF ANY OF THE BELOW ARE PRESENT.

  • Pregnant/breast feeding - NO EXCEPTIONS

  • Acne - Hormones will change healing colour of brows. But can have lip blush.

  • Hemophilia - Bleeding Disorder

  • Keloid Scarring history- If you've ever had a diagnosed keloid scar, you need to provide a Doctor’s note indicating this treatment is safe for you.

  • Cold Sores - You can receive Pmu IF you take a prescription anti-viral medication for cold sores PRIOR to you appointment

  • Recently received lip fillers (in the past 6 weeks)

  • Raccutane or steriods - Can only have PMU 1 year after medication is finisihed.

  • Uncontrolled Diabetes OR Uncontrolled High blood pressure

  • Minors cannot receive permanent makeup, even with parental consent, Must be over 18.

  • Using blood thinners- Can be hard to stop bleeding.

  • Skin diseases such as Psoriasis or eczema in the area that is going to be treated.

  • Allergies to pigments

  • Active skin cancer - Must be 6 months post chemo treatment or 1 week before treatment. 

  • Antibiotics - 1 day after finishing antibitoics

  • Thyroid - effects hormone balance - can have treatment if using thyroxine.

  • Scars - six months old at least

  • Moles - only around the mole not over. Lip moles need proof from doctor they are not aggresive.

FAQ

How long does PMU last?

Results can last anywhere from 11 - 18 months depending on procedure factors, including skin types and pigments. A touch up for eye brows is recommended once a year to retain the shape and saturation of pigment. Usually lips stay longer than eye brows - up to 2-3 years. 

How long does the procedure take? 

The treatment can take up to 2.5 hours depending on the clients skin type.

How long does the healing take?

The skin will take 6-8 days to heal, but the results of colour will show after 28 days. After 4-5 weeks we can perform the top up, this is highly recommended so we can see how the skin took to the procedure and correct any patches, uneven spots or intensify the colour if requested.

Possible side effects?

  • Swelling and redness post treatment

  • Pain in the lips can be more sensitive

  • Allergic reactions. A patch test will be carried out 24 hours prior to treatment.

Can the procedure be carried out with Lip injections?

  • Procedure can be carried out 8-9 weeks post lip injection.

Do i have to pay a deposit?

  • A deposit is required to secure booking, appointments must be cancelled within 48 hours to avoid loss of deposit.

Does the procedure hurt? 

  • We use Emla numbing cream pre treatment to make pain as minimal as possible
